In many of these roles, I have also been in leadership and supervisor positions. I have been a school counselor at my current elementary school for two years. Prior to starting my current role as a school counselor, I was the supervisor for a School Based Trauma Therapy program that was contracted with Rockford Public Schools for several years. My school counseling experience has primarily been working with elementary aged students but I also have experience working as a school counselor in middle/high school alternative education.

My professional qualifications are further strengthened by a range of licenses and certifications, including being a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed School Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Critical Incident Response Specialist, among others.

My career spans two decades in various roles. As a Clinical Supervisor and Manager at HRDI, Inc., I oversaw mental health programs, providing leadership and guidance in clinical case management. My role as CEO & Lead Counselor at CLS Comprehensive Services has further honed my skills in providing effective mental health services and overseeing the operations of a counseling agency, which includes supervision of both interns and clinicians.

In academia, I serve as an Assistant Professor at National Louis University, teaching a wide range of courses related to clinical and school counseling. This role, coupled with my experience as an Internship Field Placement Supervisor, has given me a comprehensive view of the educational and supervisory needs of emerging counselors.
I have served on the task force for the last two iterations of the Illinois Developmental Model for school counselors.
