SCHOOL COUNSELOR OF THE YEAR AWARDS

Each year, ISCA provides the opportunity to recognize school counselors whose dedication, leadership, and service make a meaningful difference for students and the profession across Illinois.

Think about the colleagues you see every day—the school counselors who consistently go above and beyond, advocate for students, strengthen their school communities, and elevate the profession. Help us make sure their work is seen, celebrated, and appreciated by nominating them for an ISCA Award.

Nominations are invited for:

  • K–8 School Counselor of the Year
  • Ray Piagentini High School Counselor of the Year

All nominees will be recognized at the annual ISCA Conference and will have the opportunity to apply for the Illinois School Counselor of the Year Award. The Illinois School Counselor of the Year will advance as the state’s representative for the ASCA School Counselor of the Year program.

Nominations for the 2026 School Counselor of the Year awards closed March 1, 2026.
