The 5th Edition of the ASCA National Model® was released in August 2025—and if you’re wondering what’s new, what matters most, and how it connects to the work you’re already doing, this full day in-person workshop is for you!

Join Sue Arvidson, an ASCA-Certified Trainer, for a practical and engaging introduction to the ASCA National Model® designed to help you move beyond simply knowing about the Model to understanding how it can guide and strengthen your school counseling program.

  • Understand the purpose and key components of the ASCA National Model®.
  • Explore the four components of the Model: Define, Manage, Deliver, and Assess.
  • Connect your current school counseling activities and results to the ASCA National Model®.
  • Identify activities that may not align with the school counselor role.
  • Understand the three broad results of a school counseling program and how they can be measured.
  • Explore how the ASCA National Model® connects to each tier of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
  • Begin thinking about how the Model can support a more intentional, comprehensive, and student-focused school counseling program.

The 5th Edition of the ASCA National Model® was released in August 2025. This workshop is a great opportunity to learn the basics of the latest edition and explore what the Model means for your work today.

You may register with or without the 5th Edition text.  Want your own copy?  A limited number of copies of the 5th Edition will be available as an optional registration add-on. Copies are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to select the book option when registering if you'd like one.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After attending this workshop, participants will be able to:
